KIPEC Brief No. 2
In this issue of the KIPEC Brief, we hosted
a roundtable with Philip Wallach, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise
Institute (AEI).
This roundtable, part of KIPEC's regular
program, aims to foster discussions every month with think tanks,
congressional, and government officials in Washington, D.C., focusing on ways
to enhance ROK-US parliamentary exchanges and address key issues. In this
session, we compared and analyzed the scope and methods of ROK-US congressional
involvement in the administration's foreign policy.
Additionally, we have summarized the
Congressional Research Service (CRS) report on artificial intelligence (AI) and
political campaign finance. This report covers the use of AI in political
campaigns, recent legislative developments, the Federal Election Commission
(FEC) rulemaking activities, and potential policy considerations in the U.S.
Congress.
The brief also includes an overview of the
key legislative trends in the U.S. Congress for August and September, along
with significant congressional news and political events. For further details,
please refer to the attached document. This report is written in Korean. For
inquiries, please contact Research Fellow Donghyeon Kim at dhkim@kipe.org
