The Korea Inter-Parliamentary Exchange Center (KIPEC)
was established in response to the growing importance of the ROK-U.S. relations and
the need for br increased cooperation between the two legislatures.
Its foundation is based on the need to complement security, economic aspects, and government diplomacy.
KIPEC aims to expand dialogue and exchanges between the two legislative bodies and support congressional diplomacy with the United States.

Why We Are Founded

  • KIPEC was established to address the expanding significance of ROK-U.S. relations, focusing on security, economic factors, and the increasing need for enhanced cooperation between the two legislatures.

    Rapid increase in South Korea’s exports to the U.S. and investment by Korean businesses in the U.S.

What We Do

  • KIPEC is dedicated to expanding exchanges between the Republic of Korea’s National Assembly and the U.S. Congress.

  • U.S. Congress Policy Analysis and Research

    KIPEC monitors key policy initiatives in the U.S. Congress, analyzing relevant information to enhance mutual understanding between the two countries through research and collaboration with major U.S. think tanks.

  • Promoting Legislative Exchanges and Communication

    KIPEC strengthens the U.S. congressional network by securing exchange channels and promoting dialogue between the National Assembly of Republic of Korea and the U.S. Congress.

  • Facilitating Congressional Diplomacy with the U.S.

    KIPEC enhances diplomatic activities, including visits by members of the National Assembly and congressional committees, and promotes economic diplomacy focused on national interests through congressional agendas.
